Mt. Everest

These photos represent the tone of the essay Mt. Everest because it is a happy story. In the essay Mt. Everest Eric Weihenmayer is trying to be the first blind person to reach the top of Mt. Everest. In the end he reaches the top and becomes the first blind person to get to the top. The essay has a happy tone.

Digger Wasp

I would probably rather spend time studying the wasp rather than the spider. The reason I would rather study the wasp is becuse from what I read so far the wasp seems to be pretty intresting. Could you imagine seeing a wasp 2 inches long? That would be crazy! They also burrow holes into the ground the diameter of a quarter and some of the holes can be up to 24 inches into the ground. Then they paralyze insects and bring them into the hole and lay their eggs on them.

Challenging

The most challenging thing I ever had to do was play basketball against Onalaska at the state tournament in Stevens Point. They were a really good team and were really hard to beat. The game was close the whole way but we ended up loosing to them by a few points. They ended up winning the whole tournament. So, we did pretty good against them because they were one of the best teams in the state.

Inspiration

One person that inspires me in my life is Duane Wade. The reason he inspires me is because he is a really good basketball player and I want to be as good as him someday. He works really hard at practices and never gets into trouble so he can play in every game. He is the starting point guard for the Miami heat. I also am a starting point guard so we play the same positions which inspires me to be like him. He is a really nice guy and has donated to many charities in his life time. I really want to be like him some day!

internet safety

To have a positive digital footprint you must have positive things about you on the internet. It is what others see you as on the computer. Employers may look at your footprint when you are getting a job.It is important to have a positive digital footprint.It is never safe to use your proper name or put a picture of yourself on the internet.It is better to create an avatar.You are responsble for being internet savvy. You should never include any personal information when you register at a website. You can be found on facebook or myspace on the internet.

Pretend Florida trip

I planed a pretend trip to Florida with my family using Expedia. We are leaving Austin Straubel in Green Bay and heading to O'Hare intl. in Chicago. From there we will get on a different plane and then we are off to Florida. I Picked the Palm Plaza Oceanfront Resort which is located 2 miles south of Daytona Beach. I also got a rental car to go wherever we want. The total cost of the trip is $2,912

Country i'd like to visit

If I had a choice of a different country to holiday in I would probably pick Canada. The reason I would pick canada is because it is one of the top places to go hunting and fishing.

Favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday that I have been on is a fishing trip to the UP of Michigan. It was a blast, we caught a lot of huge panfish and a few big bass. I cant wait to go back again!

My Fantasy Holiday

My fantasy holiday probably would be a hunting trip to Illinois, Canada or any of the top ranked hunting states. I love to go hunting and I think it would be awsome to shoot a huge buck.

As part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of climate change.

Climate change effects me personally because it effects the air I breath , making it unhealthy and causing more illness like asthma. At school and at home I can reduce the amount of energy and animal products that I use to help reduce the amount of greenhouse gases, which effects climate change. Climate change is effecting other parts of the world like the permafrost in the Arctic. The rise in the earth's temperature is causing the permafrost to melt and release even more greenhouse gas.

Football

I picked this picture because I like sports. Football is my favorite sport to watch on T.V. The Chargers are one of my favorite NFL teams. My favorite team is the packers. Interests

I have many hobbies that I like to do. One of my favorite intrests is hunting. My favorite things to hunt for are ducks and deer. I go hunting all the time and I love it. I think it is really fun. I got a big 8 point buck my first year gun hunting. Now im trying to get a bigger buck but it's really hard. I got really lucky to see a buck that big. I also like duck hunting. I usually get a few ducks every time I go. I have a lot of new hunting gear that I use, it is really cool.

blog visit

I looked at five other peoples blogs from five different countries. I found that our blogs are all kind of similar in some ways. I also found out that a lot of people speak english in different countries.

Homecoming

Homecoming has been fun the last couple of years. I like all the lunch activities and all the other things we do during spirit week. I really like the football game on Friday night, and then going toilet papering after. It is a blast!

I hope that i get good grades in english this year. I also hope that english will help me out in the future and help me get a good job. This english class seems different than other english classes i've hade in the past. One reason i think its different is because we go on the computers almost every day. I like it alot more than sitting in class! I also like the blogging that we are doing.

The highlight of my summer was at the beginning of july. I got to go to my first nascar race in Chicago. It was the first night race ever at that track so i was really excited. I went with some of my parents friends and we stayed at a hotel near the track. On friday night we went to the Nationwide series race but it wasn't as good as the sprint cup race because most of the popular drivers don't race. Then on saturday it was the Sprintcup race with all the popular drivers i knew. The race was really loud and the cars went so fast it was hard to see them. But it was really fun and it was the highlight of my summer!
